Tidy your room!
Having trouble getting your child to keep their room tidy? Try making it a little more interesting – or fun for them, and you might get a little more cooperation.
• Make a list of exactly what you want done – but write it in code or use unusual materials, such as lipstick on the mirror, or jumbo felts on toilet paper.
• Hide a reward or surprise in the messiest part of the room. Hide several if the room looks like a hurricane hit!
• Provide a ‘donation box’ where your child can place toys and clothes they no longer use, to be given away to charity – or put into storage for a younger sibling to grow into.
